Going to Thomas Dambo Studio was one of my favorite days traveling to Denmark because of how hands-on we got to be. We finally got to meet the famous troll artist that has created a whole storyline and real-life sculptures. I thought it was cool he was trying to bring his characters to life and even the environment they live in by transforming his workspace into the story he tells. After a tour of his studio, we were given the opportunity to help build an area for hanging out and relaxing after a long day of work. We all did this very safely, of course, but using tools and actual wood to build something was a blast. I love digital art, but sometimes it is gratifying to make something physically and get your hands dirty. I also met an adorable orange cat on the property who liked to follow us around, and I think everyone might have fallen in love with him.
